Asa and Kylar [Closed]

"Well... the promise of a Ferraligator was pretty tempting.. but I think I'll like Greninja better.", Asa replied, pointedly ignoring the professor in favor of chatting with Kylar. He did still go over to the computer and slide his phone in the slot, pulling it out after a few moments once it told him to do so and booting up the pokedex app. He was already pretty familiar with it, having been browsing through his parent's since he was young. "Now to do the whole gym thing.", he stated, looking up from his phone after a moment. "Want to go together?", he asked Kylar. "I can't say that I would be too excited wandering around by myself."

Asa chuckled a bit and watched the excitable pokemon for a moment before deciding to release his own. He pulled the pokeball out of his bag and clicked it open, raising an eyebrow when the Froakie that came out immediately targeted Totodile and went on the attack. "Hey, hey... none of that just yet.", he scolded, frowning a bit. "Feisty... huh? I know just how to train you."

Asa looked over at Kylar, raising an eyebrow slightly as they continued to walk. "I can start being more grumpy and serious if you like.", he replied, his smile suddenly turning into a rather intimidating frown. He stared hard at Kylar for a few moments, practically glaring at him before lightening up once more and smiling at the blue-haired teen. "You lure more Combees with honey than vinegar.", he said simply. "As in... it's easier to get what you want out of people when you're nice to them." He cracked a wider smile and nudged Kylar playfully. "What made you think I would be grumpy anyway?"

"Well my dad is the dark-type Elite Four...", Asa replied, chuckling a bit as they made their way towards the Pokemon Center. "And... dark-types kind of get a bad reputation sometimes, I guess." He shrugged slightly, and shook his head. "I don't know... you're cool though, so I don't see a need to be a grump." He grinned and looked down at his pokemon, both of who were tagging along beside him, both with annoyed looks on their faces. "Besides... Zorua and Froakie are grumpy enough for the both of us.", he murmured as he called them both back into their balls.

"Well... I'll certainly try for champion.", Asa replied, grinning at the other teen. "Both my parents were champions, so it's something to live up to.. though my dad said his spot on the Elite is mine if I beat him, so there's that." He smiled over at Kylar as the two of them made their way into the Pokemon Center. "What are you plans?"

Asa grinned and nudged Kylar slightly. "Then I will take great pleasure in beating you.", he replied playfully. "I think you'd made a pretty great gym leader though.", he continued. "You have a really... I don't know... bubbly? personality." The dark haired teen chuckled a bit and made his way over towards the Pokeshop stationed inside the Pokemon Center. "Friendly, maybe?" He turned towards Kylar slightly and smiled at him. "Need me to get you any supplies?"

Asa laughed and grinned over at Kylar before happily pulling out a charge card embossed with his name and flashing it at the blue-haired teen. "So, a dozen pokeballs a piece, and a dozen of each of the status changers?" He chuckled and turned to the clerk, telling the man what he wanted. "Throw in a dozen net balls for my friend here, I want a dozen dusk balls, oh, and... two full sets of vitamins." He slid over his card and waited patiently while the clerk filled his order. "Anything else Kylar?"

Asa nodded and relayed that to the clerk as well, who rang up three bags of high quality pokemon food as well as everything else. "We'll get food as we travel... though we'll stop at the market before we set out and get enough to last us until we get to Pinecrest at least." He looked back over at Kylar, smiling a bit. "I'm not carrying all this by myself I hope you know... so we should get you a backpack too.."
